o | This occurs when the database file that OpsCenter is configured to connect to cannot be found. This can occur when the computer has lost its network connection or if the database file has been moved to a new location. |
o | To resolve this error, check to make sure the database file can still be accessed. If it is on a network drive, check to make sure the network connection is still working. If the database file was moved, click on Select Database from the File menu to specify the new location of the database file. OpsCenter will automatically check periodically to see if the connection to the file can be established. If it can, OpsCenter will automatically log back in. |
Note: When running OpsCenter on a computer that is not always connected to the network, such as on a laptop, this error will come up whenever the laptop is not connected to network. To prevent this error message, you can disable the user preference to show database connection errors on startup. OpsCenter will still start but no error message will be displayed and OpsCenter will run in a disconnected state.
