Upgrade from any version 3.x.x to any version 3.x.x

To upgrade OpsCenter from any version 3.x.x to any newer version 3.x.x, just perform the following steps:

 

1)Download the new installation file available on the download page.
2)If OpsCenter is currently running, exit the program and run the downloaded installation file. The first computer that is upgraded to the newest version will automatically perform a database upgrade in order for the new version to work with the existing database file.
3)Use the same downloaded installation file to install the new version on the remaining computers on the network.

 

Not all computers have to be upgraded simultaneously as long as they are all running versions of OpsCenter that is supported by the new database. OpsCenter will tell you the minimum supported version during the database upgrade or you can look on the download page.

 

Upgrading to 3.6.0:  In order to the messages to properly record and display all message recipients, both the sending and receiving computers will need to be running OpsCenter 3.6.0 or newer.  If one of the computers is running an older version of OpsCenter, the recipient list will not be available.  Also, the recipient list will never be available for any existing message sent with any version of OpsCenter older than 3.6.0.  This is because previous versions of OpsCenter were not designed to store this information.  Because of this, it is recommended that all computers be upgraded to the current version in order for this feature to work correctly for everyone.

 

There is no additional cost or registration code needed to perform this upgrade.
