Assign a policy to multiple employees at the same time

This tutorial entry will guide you through creating actual data in Personnel Folders. Some instructions will reference data inputted in previous tutorial sections. This is because the instructions are set up to go through all sections from beginning to end. However, looking at the instructions in a single section only should still be sufficient to learn how to accomplish the task.

 


 

1)Select Bulk Apply Time Off Benefits from the Schedules menu.
2)Double-click on the names Julie Berry, Beverly Cobb, Bruce Allen, and Jack Meyers to move them to the Apply benefit policy to box.
3)Fill out the Add Sick Day form with the following information:
·Policy Name: Policy1
·Start Date: January 1, 1999 (date the policy is first used for any employee)
·End Date: None (since policy is still in use, don't set an end date)
4)Click OK.

 

Four time off benefit entries have now been created, one for each employee.  These individual time off benefit entries are what tie the policy to the employee.  The policy starts applying to each employee at their benefit start date (or hire date if a benefit start date has not been defined) as long as the benefit/hire date is not before January 1, 1999.
