A contact assignment is a contact which is directly associated with an employee based on the specified contact type. Contact assignments are viewed and managed from the Contact Assignment section of the Employees main window tab. Contact Assignments for a specific employee can also be viewed and managed from the Primary Contacts and Additional Contacts tab in the Edit Employee window. The available contact types that can be created are emergency, family/dependant, and additional contacts.
o | To add a contact assignment, select "Add Contact Assignment" from the "Employees" main menu or from the control panel in the Contact Assignments section of the Employees main window tab. The Add Contact Assignment form provides the following fields for completion: |
▪ | This control determines which employee the contact assignment applies to. |
▪ | This control determines which contact (which has already been added using the add contact controls) is being associated with the employee. |
▪ | This control determines the type of contact that this assignment is going to represent. The options are primary, family/dependant, and additional. |
▪ | This field allows you to provide additional text information on the relationship between the employee and contact. |
▪ | This control specifies whether the contact is a dependant of the employee. This is only available when the contact type is family/dependant. (Default Value: False.) |
▪ | This field is available for whatever miscellaneous information you wish to record. |
▪ | This table displays all the selected contact's information. This information is for display purposes only and cannot be modified here. |
o | To edit a contact assignment, right-click a contact assignment listed in a table and select Edit. The Edit Contact Assignment window will then be displayed. When a change has been made, it must be saved in order to take effect. |
