Company Settings

The Company Settings window provides the user with basic customizations for the specific data file that is opened. This window can be opened by selecting Company Settings under the Edit menu header. The following are details for all the available preference settings:

 

Options
oNon-workdays
This option will allow you to set days of the week that are not normal workdays. These non-workdays will show up on the vacation calendar. (Default Value: "Sunday," "Saturday".)
oWorkday Start
This allows you to specify what hour a normal workday starts. This workday time period will show up on the day view calendar. (Default Value: 8:00 AM.)
oWorkday End
This allows you to specify what hour a normal workday ends. This workday time period will show up on the day view calendar. (Default Value: 5:00 PM.)
oHours Per Workday
This allows you to specify how many hours are in a normal workday. This value is used in the time off benefits feature when the remaining time off days need to be calculated based on hours. (Default Value: 8. Minimum Value: 0. Maximum Value: 99.)
oMerge Vacation/Sick time accrued/used into Personal Time Off
This control allows you to merge all accrued/used vacation/sick time off into personal time off. This is used in situations where a company does not explicitly have sperate time off benefits for vacation time and sick time and instead has one benefit amount for "personal time off". (Default Value: False.)
oPassword protect data file
This feature lets you password protect a data file. When a user attempts to open the password protected data file, they will need to enter the password before any information is displayed. (Default Value: No Password.)

 

Company Info.
These fields allow you to provide additional information about the company. This information is displayed in the program but not used for any other purpose.
oCompany Name
This field is for the name of the Company which is shown in the program title bar.

 

Calendar Labels
The calendar label controls allow you to customize the short abbreviation for each type of schedule.  This abbreviation is used on the calendars and some tables in order to make the schedule entry more easy to identify.  You can set a blank label but then the schedule will only be identifiable by the icon or color.  The default schedule labels are:

 

Vacation Schedules:

VSC

Sick Days:

SCK

Personal Time Off Schedules:

PTO

Holiday Schedules:

HSC

Scheduled Events:

EVT

Out-of-Office Schedules:

OOO

Special Days:

SPD

Non-Workdays:

NWD

Today:

TDY

 

Additional Info.
The additional info tab displays some additional information about the data file that is currently open. This information cannot be modified from here.
