Sending/Receiving Notes

The following details tell how to send and receive notes:

 

Sending A Note
oTo send a note to a user or group of users, click on Send Note from the Action menu.  You can also select the Send Note icon from the Main Toolbar or from the Object Toolbar.  Another option is to select Send Note when right-clicking a user on the status table. These options will be grayed out or hidden if the administrator has disabled the notes system in the System Controls.
oIf no recipient has been indicated, the Send Note To List window will automatically be displayed where individual users or groups can be selected as the recipient. If multiple groups are selected, a user will only receive a single note even if they are a member of multiple groups. Select the user or group and fill in a subject and message.
oEither a subject or message is required before sending a note.
oSend the note and it will pop up on the screen and appear in the message inbox of the desired recipient.  A copy of the sent note will be saved in the sent messages section of the Communication Manager.

 

Receiving A Note
oTo receive a note, it will automatically pop up on your screen based on the pop up settings in your Preferences.  Notes that do not automatically popup are still stored in the Communication Manager.
oWith a received note, you have the option to Reply to the original sender, Reply to All recipients and the original sender, or Forward the note to someone else.
